The Daily - in Hill End

The artist and authors acknowledge and pay respects to the Wiradjuri people as the traditional owners of this place we now call Hill End.

During Murray’s first residency in Hill End in 2010 she developed her Daily drawing series. The Daily is a plein air pen ink drawing on 12 x 16 cm card, completed within the day it’s begun. Each drawing represents a record of place - with a focus on the remnants of human impact on the environment. During her residency, Murray developed a series of drawings in response to the remote rural NSW region. In early 2019 Murrays solo exhibition Night & Day (15 FEBRUARY – 7 APRIL 2019) at the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery featured her 300 of her Daily drawings, including the series developed during her 2018 Hill End residency.
