Spark A Reaction

Spark A Reaction is a poster collaboration between Bundanon Trust, NSW South Coast community and Wendy Murray. The posters were created during a series of workshops held in Nowra in September 2020. Drawing inspiration from the handmade signs made during the last fire season - when communities messaged one another, the RFS and political leaders in public spaces - these workshops sparked this series of quick response posters. The Nowra poster workshops provided community members an opportunity to reflect upon the fires of 2019/20, their impact and how we might respond in the future. View the online exhibition here »

The Daily (Bundanon 2020)

The Daily drawing series began in April 2010 whilst on residency at Hill End, NSW, Australia. Over seven years Murray has completed more than 300 drawings. These drawings have been collected by institutions including Lake Macquarie City Gallery, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, and the University of Sydney.

Each Daily is drawn on archival museum board and is 16 x 12cm. The rule of the Daily is that each drawing needs to be completed the day it is started. Most Daily’s are drawn en plein air but some night drawings were started on site, then finished in the studio. A couple of the Bundanon drawings were completed from photo’s.
