The Poster Centre is a place to exchange ideas, learn screen-printing techniques in the tradition of political poster art.

Share in the history of the renowned Garage Graphix print workshop – a grassroots printing movement active in Blacktown from 1981 – 1998. The Garage Graphix legacy continues urban and political activism in design and public life.

Led by artist Wendy Murray, with artists, Sima AlikhaniSaqlain Binte Saleh and Jay Kay WassellThe Poster Centre offers free screen-printing, artist-led workshops in three Blacktown City Council libraries and a drop-in print studio at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre.

Artists will help you create your poster and express your ideas through your own unique screen-printed poster to take away or display at the Arts Centre and in public spaces. The workshops are open to all ages.

This project is supported by Create NSW’s Audience Development Fund, a devolved funding program administered by Museums & Galleries of NSW on behalf of the NSW Government.
