I took a sublet on Marion Avenue for a month, not just because it was super charming and cozy, but because the signs pointed to a good thing. Marion is my mom’s name, and Angelino Heights has intrigued me since my first Halloween there in 2019.  When drawing en plein air there last year, I met some lovely folks and Saturday nights are exciting for this rev-head. ArtUnite exhibition & auction benefitting the Central City Action Committee (CCAC), Echo Park

You know me - think global, act local! I have donated three works to this special, local event. The auction will benefit at-risk youth services and programs organized by non-profit Central City Action Committee. Located in Angelino Heights, they have been in the neighborhood since the 70s helping low to moderate income kids and families through education, work programs, mentorship, volunteerism and city beautification.
